Waiting

Hello, Linda here

Time goes by so slowly these day as we stay distanced. My garden is the same. I can plan as much as I want but Nature has its own plan. Watching things grow can make me feel like taking a nap - what is the saying, watching grass grow... Many times I download a book on tape and get down on my knees to weed.

This Spring has been so beautiful. Dogwood, Azalea and Magnolias are all in bloom now. I long to plant tomatoes and peppers, but temperatures can drop to freezing at night, and then those plants are toast. Mother’s Day is usually the first safe day to plant tender plants on the East coast. What I have discovered is that the best gardening practices require observation and experimentation.

Hope you can all get outside and just observe. Be safe and be well.
